With incredible abruptness, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has revoked the emergency use authorizations for the COVID treatment colloquially known as monoclonal antibodies: bamlanivimab and etesevimab (used together) as well as the combination of casirivimab and imdevimab known as REGEN-COV, or RegeneronAnd very oddly, this decision is landing the hardest… in Florida, where the life-saving treatment was still being successfully administered to thousands of Florida patients. Florida Deputy Secretary for Health Kenneth A. Scheppke told the press openly that the state of Florida disagrees with the FDA’s decision, in particular regarding Regeneron, given that it has not been supported by any clinical evidence provided by the FDA. This morning thousands of Floridians waiting for treatment were told that their appointments were canceled. It is now illegal for their providers to dispense it.

According to Fox affiliate Fox40, The FDA is claiming now that,

“[D]ata show these treatments are highly unlikely to be active against the omicron variant,” and because omicron is believed to account for more than 99% of current COVID-19 cases, the treatments are no longer authorized. It explained that this was meant to prevent side effects from treatments they do not believe will work.

“In the future, if patients in certain geographic regions are likely to be infected or exposed to a variant that is susceptible to these treatments, then use of these treatments may be authorized in these regions,” the FDA said.

Florida Responds To The Regime’s Decision To Revoke Access to COVID Treatment

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis immediately responded harshly to the Biden-Harris regime’s decision, arguing that the study the FDA is basing this upon was NOT peer-reviewed, and was created by a consultant who is a competitor of the two companies producing the monoclonal antibodies,

“Without a shred of clinical data to support this action, Biden has forced trained medical professionals to choose between treating their patients or breaking the law,” said DeSantis. “This indefensible edict takes treatment out of the hands of medical professionals and will cost some Americans their lives. There are real-world implications to Biden’s medical authoritarianism — Americans’ access to treatments is now subject to the whims of a failing president.”

DeSantis further railed against the uncertainty that the treatment is wholly ineffective against the omicron variant, stating that even if it is only partially effective, patients should be allowed the choice to try it.

Florida’s Surgeon General Dr. Joseph A. Ladapo, MD, PhD strenuously spoke out against the move,

“In our field of medicine, when someone comes to you seeking a treatment that could save their life, it is essential to have treatment options to ensure health care providers can make the best decisions for their patients,” saidDr. Ladapo“The federal government has failed to adequately provide the United States with adequate outpatient treatment options for COVID-19. Now, they are scrambling to cover up a failure to deliver on a promise to ‘shut down the virus.’”

It Seems That Someone Revealed The Whole Point…

It would seem that in their rush to answer DeSantis, a partisan ideologue spokesman for Health and Human Services may have said more than he was supposed to, revealing the ultimate agenda behind the sudden termination of the highly effective COVID treatment.

Ian Sams, who in his Twitter bio identifies himself as the former spokesman for *(wait for it)… Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, and Tim Kaine (you can’t make this up) tweeted in response to DeSantis’ comments,

“Why is Gov. DeSantis more interested in promoting medicines that don’t work than urging people to take vaccines that do?”

DeSantis press secretary Christina Pushaw promptly slammed the door on Sams for blatantly mischaracterizing the situation.

“Why doesn’t the HHS spokesperson understand that the majority of patients seeking monoclonal antibody treatment, like the majority of Floridians, ARE vaccinated?” she tweeted.

But in all seriousness Pushaw in her zeal to defend DeSantis may have missed the point here. How better could the Biden-Harris regime push forward their insane agenda of forcing the jab on Americans, than by eliminating all other paths of treatment? Sams’ admonition of DeSantis tells it all: Biden and his government aren’t interested in treating COVID, instead, they’re myopically locked on implementing the so-called ‘vaccine’. As Biden’s ‘vaccine’ mandates fall apart legally, perhaps they feel it better to leave no alternate treatment.
