In a claim that is so far-fetched that even some Democrats had to call him out, a popular Never Trumper claims that white supremacy is the cause of black on Asian hate crimes.
A rise in anti-Asian hate crimes has been documented across the United States, which sparked the #StopAsianHate movement. The left claims that white people were committing these crimes, but the data shows that “the uptick in widespread assaults against civilians of Asian heritage points to black assailants,” according to The Post Millennial.
It’s White People’s Fault
These crimes are on the rise in places like New York and the West Coast, and anti-Trump activist Eugene Gu claims to know why.
“Black on Asian crimes only occur because of our system of white supremacy that strips African Americans of their economic opportunities while taking respect and dignity away from Asian Americans,” the Never Trumper tweeted. “Also, white people in power are experts at dividing and conquering to stay in power.”
One Twitter user’s response to Gu says it all. “You realize arguing everyone is just a puppet of white people with no agency of their own is basically a white supremacist theory right?” wrote Zaid Jilani.

The left is always trying to blame white people for nearly every problem in the United States, but this one is a stretch. Usually, when minorities do something wrong, the left and the media refuse to talk about it or even acknowledge the problem. This time, they have found a way to still blame white people.
“Here we go: when a black man brutally attacks a random elderly Asian woman in midtown Manhattan it’s not his fault, it’s the fault of white supremacy. Way to make the streets safer,” remarked New York Post columnist Miranda Devine.
Another reply to Gu’s tweet contains an excellent video response to another leftist arguing that “whiteness” is still at fault for hate crimes committed by minorities.
