The Ayatollah is hoping that he’s confused and demented enough that he won’t respond in any significant way. Besides that, Joe’s handlers have been on Iran’s side all along. They can be counted on for some constructive hesitation in critical moments.
Iran ready to strike
Iran practically has New York Times reporters on their payroll, so the outlet didn’t have any problem finding “three Iranian officials familiar with the war planning” to fill them in on the Ayatollah’s latest ambitions.
On Thursday, October 31, they reported that “Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has instructed the Supreme National Security Council on Monday to prepare for an attack on Israel.” He simply has no choice, the officials insist.
The Ayatollah made the decision to move forward with an attack, they relate, “after he reviewed a detailed report from senior military commanders.”
The conference was all about “the extent of damage to Iran’s missile production capabilities and air defense systems around Tehran.” Israel recently took out a nuclear related installation which Iran claimed was shut down years ago. The Ayatollah can’t admit it was in production.
Israel also inflicted damage on “critical energy infrastructure, and a main port in the south.” Politically, Iran can’t simply sit there and take it. They have to respond.
Even if that response prompts an even bigger counter-response, as expected. All the experts are convinced it’s about to inevitably escalate all the way up to Armageddon.
Before the election
Everybody knows that the Ayatollah hates Donald Trump. He’s crazy enough to actually nuke Tehran into a big glass parking lot. The last time he was in office he had been overheard wandering through Pentagon corridors humming “bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran.”
Khamenei wants to move fast before he gets elected again. Axios has a few contacts of their own, over in Israel.
Their sources “reported that Israeli intelligence is estimating that Iran will strike Israel from Iraqi territory, possibly before Tuesday’s U.S. Election.” The Ayatollah “may launch a large number of drones and ballistic missiles from Iraqi territory.”
A U.S. intelligence official leaked that he “could quickly put its preparations into action.” If that’s what he decides. Apparently, he already decided on Monday.
The upcoming volley will be “Iran’s third direct attack on the Jewish state not using a proxy group.” Up until now, the Ayatollah has been letting Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis do his dirty work for him. He knows now they’re fools. On October 1, “Iran launched nearly 200 ballistic missiles at Israel, causing Israelis across the country to enter missile shelters.”
The barrage “caused minor damage to several IDF airbases and civilian infrastructure, but no one was hurt.” Throwing missiles around in a temper tantrum isn’t something Israel is going to put up with for long. They’ve been indicating they’re up to something pretty decisive. If there is a third Iranian attack, it’s a safe bet there will not be a fourth one. Iran will be a crater in the sand.
