The Democrat idea of unity is shut up and drink the Kool-Aid. They proved that on Wednesday when the House shoved their scheme to permanently tilt the election in their direction down the throats of every American, whether they like it or not. Hopefully, it won’t do as well in the Senate.
Unity of one sort or another
Traditionally, Democrats work their differences of opinion out in the back room and when it comes time to vote, they stand shoulder to shoulder in unity with every member voting in authoritarian lockstep.
The red side of the aisle has become the exact opposite. A handful of conservative patriots holding the line on the right with a whole herd of rogue renegade RINOs who stand up with the Democrats every time they’re counted.
This time around, all the Republicans, conservative and moderate, stuck together in opposition of a truly horrible plot. The GOP unity didn’t matter. They can hold hands and sing Kumbaya in the House all they want but Democrats reign supreme.
Liberal news outlets are gloating that “House Democrats passed sweeping voting and ethics legislation Wednesday over unanimous Republican opposition.” Some call it “the largest overhaul of the U.S. election law in at least a generation.” Others say it means free and fair elections are a thing of the past.
House Resolution 1 brings the kind of “unity” to elections that George Orwell imagined in his notorious book “1984.”
Now that his worst nightmares are in daily use, we’ve learned that his warnings of horror to come only scratched the surface after progressives studied his ideas. If this measure sneaks through the senate, constitutional rule of law is a thing of the past.
Every aspect of the process
HR1 is Democrats top priority now that they have seized control because it controls “virtually every aspect of the electoral process.” That’s the kind of unity Democrats like to see.
It passed by a party-line margin of 220-210 since “it would restrict partisan gerrymandering of congressional districts, strike down hurdles to voting and bring transparency to a murky campaign finance system that allows wealthy donors to anonymously bankroll political causes.” That’s the sanitized version.
Washington insiders know that the “stakes in the outcome are monumental.” The liberals are hijacking unity to new extremes of meaning. One person can easily equal two or three or five votes, depending on how many government databases their name shows up on.
For instance an illegal alien on nutrition assistance with a drivers license will get three separate mail-in ballots. Those ballots can be counted nationwide up to a full ten days after the election. That’s only the beginning.
The biggest challenge that all this liberal global open borders unity presents is a threat to the power meant to be held by the states. This bill will grab every bit of control over their elections.
“Democrats want to use their razor-thin majority not to pass bills to earn voters’ trust, but to ensure they don’t lose more seats in the next election,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy warns.
