The Pentagon is going frantic. They need to plug a really serious leak before it gets any worse. Highly classified intelligence was disclosed by someone detailing “Israel’s plans for retaliation against Iran.” Not just any someone could do that. It has to be a person attached to U.S. intelligence with tip-top security clearance.
Pentagon hunting a mole
Apparently, there’s a mole running around the Pentagon. The brass is all a-jingle and wants someone to parade around in front of the press as the leaker. As soon as they figure out where it came from. Three people “familiar with the matter” leaked about the leak to CNN. One of them “confirmed the documents’ authenticity.”
The world knows for certain that Israel has nuclear bombs. That’s something they’ve been cagey about for years, though everyone suspected they did.
A “U.S. official” informed them the treacherous leak is “deeply concerning.” One of the things that really has the Pentagon nervous is the fact that the reports made public contained up to the minute intelligence.
The documents posted October 18, on Telegram, by “Middle East Spectator” were dated October 15 and 16. They quickly started circulating on social media.
The records are clearly marked “top secret.” Beyond that, they “have markings indicating they are meant to be seen only by the U.S. and its ‘Five Eyes‘ allies — Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.”
The Pentagon was horrified to see detailed intelligence reports prepared for U.S. leaders on X. “They describe preparations Israel appears to be making for a strike against Iran.” The Ayatollah is studying them carefully.
Moving munitions around
One of the leaked documents was apparently “compiled by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.” It spells out what munitions Israel is moving around and where they’re going.
Another juicy memo the Pentagon doesn’t like the public seeing was prepared for the National Security Agency and “outlines Israeli air force exercises involving air-to-surface missiles, also believed to be in preparation for a strike on Iran.”
One of the press sources explained that “the investigation is examining who had access to the alleged Pentagon document.” That’s not hard to guess. Besides that, a leak like this “would automatically trigger an investigation by the FBI.”
All of the spooky spy agencies will be looking into it, as well. The information couldn’t have gone public at a worse time.
Currently, US-Israeli relations are strained. The Israelis can’t stand Joe Biden or Kamala Harris. All the Democrats do is get in their way because they’re obviously on the Palestinian side. This latest debacle is guaranteed to “anger the Israelis, who have been preparing to strike Iran in response to Iran’s missile barrage on October 1.”
Besides this leak of Pentagon reports, someone near the top leaked details of a recent phone call Biden had with Netanyahu. Joe or Kamala might turn out to be the leaker.
