Joe Biden’s handlers have been hiding another report about Antony Blinken’s Saigon-like withdrawal from Afghanistan. This time it isn’t the dissent cable which clearly warned Blinky what would happen. This one shows how $8 billion flowed straight to the Taliban. The House Oversight Committee calls that obstruction of an internal investigation.
Report missing in action
The Biden administration is playing hide the ball with another damning report. Joe Biden had Janet Yellen and her Treasury Department print up a quick $8 billion bucks in the wake of the “chaotic 2021 U.S. withdrawal from Kabul.” Now, Joe’s handlers are “obstructing an internal investigation into how much of that money may have ended up in the Taliban’s hands.”
They wrote the disturbing details up in a letter on Tuesday and sent it over to Blinky Blinken, Old Yellen, and USAID Administrator Samantha Power. If her name sounds familiar, that’s because she used to be our Ambassador to the UN and did a wonderful job of screwing everything up she touched.
The State Department, that’s Blinky, and U.S. Agency for International Development, Power, “have explicitly barred their employees from sitting for interviews with Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction John Sopko.”

The two of them appear to be conspiring with Yellen at the Treasury to hide crucial documents, including the big report on how the Taliban got their hands on it. That upsets the House Oversight Committee because they want to get their hands on the records, too.
“This lack of cooperation is unacceptable,” the committee wrote. “The administration will neither avoid SIGAR’s important oversight work nor flout accountability to the American people for its catastrophic failures in Afghanistan.” Blinky is already in trouble for claiming he wasn’t in contact with Hunter Biden when his dad was Vice President. He lied and Congress has the emails to prove it.
If the report wasn’t bad for team Biden, they wouldn’t have any problem turning it over. They almost held Blinky in contempt of congress over the way he tried to hide that dissent cable. They finally got a peek at it but Blinken still was able to run a magic marker over some names to protect the guilty.
Waste, fraud and abuse
Back in mists of time in 2008, Congress created SIGAR “to audit U.S. reconstruction projects and activities” in Afghanistan. Then a “war torn country” which had been defended by Osama Bin Laden against the Russians. Guess who trained Bin Laden to fight Russians? Jimmy Carter. Everyone denies it, which means it has to be true. Some of us remember seeing him wandering around on the news showing off the supplies and equipment we gave his merry band of resistance fighters.
The whole point of SIGAR is to “promote efficiency and effectiveness” of such programs and “detect and prevent waste, fraud, and abuse.” They have a recent report but nobody wants anyone to see it.
It’s been two years since Blinken ignored all the experts to re-enact the fall of Saigon. Leaving everything behind including civilians, allies and a whole bunch of expensive equipment, Blinky bugged out of Kabul as explosions rocked the airport.

Ever since, SIGAR has been a “critical partner in helping the committee assess issues related to security, humanitarian, economic and governance assistance to the Afghan people.” That’s why the lawmakers want to see the report and all the rest of the records.
It’s clear that Blinky is helping Joe Biden “obstruct” an “investigation into U.S. funds going to the Taliban after the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan.” Sitting on the report is making everyone’s life miserable. “The administration’s refusal to cooperate with SIGAR has inhibited SIGAR’s ability to conduct independent, robust and meaningful oversight.”
“As US taxpayer dollars continue to assist the people of Afghanistan, it is imperative SIGAR’s mission remain unobstructed.” They still have the contempt of Congress forms all filled out in the computer for Blinky. They just need to make a few more copies with the names of the others on them.
