Elon Musk just put reporters on notice that if you come to interview him, you better have your facts straight.

Musk obliterated the BBC’s James Clayton during a recent interview.

To the point that Musk caught Clayton in a blatant lie, then called him out on it on the spot.

You Liar!

If I owned that station, Clayton would have been fired after this interview.

When Clayton brought up the idea that there has been more hate speech on Twitter since Musk took over, it really got fiery.

Musk stated, “What hate speech are you talking about?

“I mean, you use Twitter. Do you see a rise in hate speech? Just a personal anecdote? I don’t.”

Musk pressed for him just one example, which Clayton could not provide.

Musk responded, “You cannot give me a single example of hateful content, not even one tweet. And yet you claimed that hateful content was high. That is false, you just lied.”

Here is the exchange…

The rest of the interview did not go much better for Clayton.

The one exchange that really made no sense is when Clayton tried to call out Musk for firing Twitter staff because the outlet was going to go under unless he made drastic moves.

Clayton apparently thinks that because Musk is a billionaire, he should have eaten the losses of the company rather than cut costs, which is a quick way not to be a billionaire any longer.

You can see that in the longer video below…

That was about as unprepared as I have ever seen a “journalist” for an interview in my life.
