Michigan voters like Donald Trump a whole lot more than Kamala Harris. The radical Arabs don’t like either of them. Members of the state’s large Palestinian population are writing in Rashida Tlaib, so they don’t count. Blue collar auto workers are all in for the red team. The once and future president began his day with a rally in West Michigan and ended with a town hall in Warren. The rousing Friday night question and answer session was hosted by Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn.
Trump packs the house
After another of his usual rock-star stage rallies in West Michigan, where he was welcomed by thousands of adoring middle class voters, Donald Trump headed to Warren for a town hall event. Tennessee Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn and thousands more Michigan voters “packed into the Sports and Expo Center at Macomb Community College.”
While waiting for the main event to begin, the audience kept chanting Trump’s name and demanding his presence on stage. That became a little disconcerting for Senator Blackburn. She was trying to stretch her opening remarks out a little to cover for a candidate who was running a touch behind schedule.
Senator Blackburn is well aware that Warren, Michigan is a “manufacturing hub.” At least, it was. Until Democrats came along and mucked it all up. Electric vehicles aren’t the only progressive dream driving away all the factory jobs.
“You know these great manufacturing jobs,” the Senator recalled, “the Democrats just don’t seem to understand — or maybe they don’t care — that we’re losing a lot of these jobs.” Trump will get them back. He’s not afraid to challenge rampant robot automation or fight for real global competition with China.
As soon as Trump made his way on stage he was bombarded with questions from the audience.
They tended to focus on issues including illegal aliens, inability to afford gas or groceries and protecting the few American auto jobs which are left. He has plans for all of those, starting with the invasion of illegals.
Competing with China
Since we can’t have real security without a nice tight border he’s going to finish his wall and close the migrant floodgates.
While he’s keeping Americans busy rounding up and deporting around 20 million illegal aliens, he’ll use tariffs to level the playing field against “Chinese companies are building factories in China to outcompete American automakers.” The Pooh Bear knows not to mess with Donald Trump.
Jobs that aren’t going to China are leaving for Mexico. “We’re losing our companies that make our cars, make the autos. A lot of them are going to Mexico now, and it’s Mexico through China, because China owns the factories,” Trump explained. “They’re building big factories. They wouldn’t have done it with me.”
They’re “building big factories, the biggest in Mexico, and they think they’re going to make the cars and sell them in and close up Detroit, close up everything in this area, close up South Carolina.” Kamala might let them get away with that but he won’t.
“It’s not going to happen, because we’re going to put very heavy tariffs on those cars coming across the border.” The best way to help gas and grocery prices, Trump notes, is to start by “increasing oil and natural gas production.” He can unlock the environmental handcuffs which keep the oil industry from building new refineries.
We have all the oil and gas we need without buying it from other nations. “We’re going to drill, baby drill. Energy is coming way down.” That’s a good thing. “when energy comes down, everything else follows.” That’s because the cargo prices and fertilizer prices and packaging prices fall right along with the cost of energy. Trump knows how to Make America Great Again. All he needs is a legitimate election victory to do it.
