Progressive Aurora, Colorado, Police Chief Todd Chamberlain is in charge of local law enforcement. He publicly swears he couldn’t find “ties to any gangs among the suspects” who were caught on video. A group of young men “breaking into an apartment” with assault rifles. He apparently couldn’t find his own backside with both hands and a flashlight. The strategy of denial “fell apart Wednesday,” New York Post reports. That’s when federal sources confirmed to their news team that “one of the men in a group of armed thugs caught on video breaking into an apartment is an admitted member of Tren de Aragua.”
No enforcement of laws
Law enforcement is the core of the dilemma in Aurora, Colorado. Not the police exactly, though they have their issues, too. The problem is Democrat officials who refuse to accept the fact that migrant gangsters are a criminal issue. Along with prosecutors who believe prosecuting migrants is racist.
They won’t charge any people of color or the indigent with anything either, for the same reason. Prisons and mental institutions are so Second Millennia, Democrats say.
Aurora is a suburb of Denver, officially listed as a “sanctuary” city. Denying that migrant gangs are behind a rampant spree of violent crime is the “go-to game plan for leaders who are hell-bent on ignoring the effects of Harris-Biden administration’s border crisis.”
All they have to do is “pretend that the gangbangers who are wreaking havoc in their communities have unknown origins.” Meanwhile, taxpaying citizens are screaming for actual law enforcement. They’ll only put up with so much before they take the law into their own hands.
Aurora city officials refuse to admit they have “a migrant gang problem.” Whether they recognize it or not, the gangs can see that local authorities are totally overwhelmed and outnumbered. “A gang has taken control of their city.” They aren’t alone.
Law enforcement is powerless to stop TdA’s “explosive rise in blue cities.” New York has been fighting them all summer. Chicago is at the point where local gangs are about to declare open war on any migrants they see on the street. They’ve been ignoring police for years and can’t wait to show TdA how their “switches” work.
Setting up shop
With the current administration’s wide open borders policy, migrants poured into Aurora by the bus load. It didn’t take long for TdA to begin “setting up shop in dilapidated apartment complexes.” Staff were terrorized into abandoning the property.
Gangsters continued collecting rent. They went door-to-door “threatening residents and committing violent robberies, shootings and assaults.” Police Chief Todd Chamberlain lets them get away with it. Law enforcement is currently being handled by the criminals.
No matter how many times the press shows Colorado Governor Jared Polis the clips of a confirmed TdA member and his amigos “stalking through one of the Aurora complexes,” he continues to call it “a feature of Danielle Jurinsky’s imagination.” She’s a Republican City Councilwoman representing Aurora.
She’s also flabbergasted by the lack of any enforcement of laws at all in her jurisdiction. The only answer, as one police officer told a crime victim, move somewhere less Democrat.
Collecting rent isn’t their only revenue stream and the vicious gangsters make their own rules. Jurinsky was calling on police to provide some actual law enforcement even before “Jhonardy Jose Pacheco-Chirino, a.k.a ‘Cookie,‘ viciously beat a man at one of the gang-occupied complexes last November.”
She was the only one who noticed. Other local officials ignored it. Cookie “was arrested this July for a shooting that wounded two men at the same complex.” Meaning he wasn’t hard for police to find all that time. They simply never bothered. As the Post concludes, “The message couldn’t be more clear: You’re on your own.“
