Shop NowRep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has once again stuck her nose in where it is not wanted.
She, along with far too many other members of Congress, is having a meltdown over the resistance to elect Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House.
Pelosi called it “disrespectful,” among other observations.
Not Your House, Nancy
Pelosi does not like the way business is being handled.
She said she does not like the “cavalier attitude” that is being shown during this election process.
She added that “all who serve in the House share a responsibility to bring dignity to this body.”
“Sadly, Republicans’ cavalier attitude in electing a Speaker is frivolous, disrespectful and unworthy of this institution.”
Funny, when Pelosi ran for Speaker, she knew she may not have the numbers, so she outlawed proxy voting specifically for that and demanded everyone be in the chamber, knowingly locking out some of her opposition.
I have no problem with this process, however.
I love the fact that a group of representatives is actually doing what many of us wanted… they are changing the rules and demanding accountability.
I hope they hold firm until all of the key demands are met.
