Last week, Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.V.) just about turned the presidential election on its head.
Manchin has been hanging out with a third-party group called the No Labels.
He is now apparently contemplating a run at the White House as a third-party candidate.
This is move that Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) is hoping is reconsidered.
Hand It to Trump
If Manchin wins, common sense says that he steals votes from Biden, not Trump.
Romney agreed.
When he was asked about a possible run by Manchin, he expressed his concerns about beating Trump, whom Romney despises.
He stated, “The No Labels effort would elect Donald Trump.
“I asked my chief strategist: ‘What would a candidate have to be like in order to draw [voters] from Donald Trump as opposed to drawing from Joe Biden?’ He said it would have to be someone to the right of Donald Trump.
“And a poll would prove it.
“By the way, we do all this talking.
“Just run a poll. Run a poll: Biden versus Trump.
“Then run the same poll: Biden, Trump, Manchin — and see who is affected. I know the answer.”
So do we… Trump wins easily.
