There has been an assault by police officers, so we all know what that means.
Barack Obama has crawled out from under his rock to make a statement.
After the death of Tyre Nichols, Obama called it a “painful reminder” of how much further we have to go as a country.

Again, I am not downplaying what happened in the Nichols case, as police officers should NEVER be in that situation.
But, again, this is far from the norm.
Even so, when this does happen, people like Obama cannot wait to get out there and make a statement to rip the police.
Obama stated, “The vicious, unjustified beating of Tyre Nichols and his ultimate death at the hands of five Memphis police officers is just the latest, painful reminder of how far America still has to go in fixing how we police our streets.”

Memphis Police Chief Cerelyn Davis has done about as good a job as one can in this situation.
She stated, “So, you know, I would have to say that this video illustrates images that I’ve never seen in my career before perpetrated by police officers.
“You know, for me, it was beyond Rodney King. For me, it was beyond George Floyd.
“Just the manner in which these officers physically asserted themselves to Mr. Nichols. And even the aggression with language was appalling.”
Our police have to be better than this, but this is one arrest in the 30,000 or so arrests that took place on that day around the country.
These officers need to be dealt with and they have already been charged, but we cannot allow this one incident to portray all the officers around the country that are doing things the right way.
