Jill Biden’s trashy decorations are a stark contrast from the elegant holiday decorations by former First Lady Melania Trump. Biden’s surprise Valentine’s Day decorations were placed on the north lawn, where journalists usually stand to do live TV reports.
According to Jill Biden’s office, the display, made up of hearts with Valentine’s Day messages, is “hearkening back to the days of sharing candy hearts between friends and family.”
“Sending messages of healing, unity, hope and compassion, this is her Valentine to the country,” the office said.

Jill and Joe Biden brought their dogs with them to make a surprise visit to check out her decorations on the White House lawn.
“Valentines Day is a big day, Jill’s favorite day, for real,” Joe Biden said.
President Biden: "#ValentinesDay is a big. Jill's favorite day. For real."
Q: "What inspired you to do this?"@FLOTUS: "I just wanted some joy. With the pandemic, just everybody's feeling a little down. So, it's just a little joy. A little hope. That's all." pic.twitter.com/JW0S1cclNO

The trashy lawn ornaments definitely make a statement about how different the Biden administration is going to be compared to the Trump administration. Jill Biden specifically chose words that represent coming together and healing the country, while her husband and his Democrat allies keep doing everything in their power to prevent the country from uniting and healing. To many conservatives, these decorations represent an administration that is focused on saying one thing, while doing the opposite.
