The sweetheart deal for Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s son, has been halted after U.S. District Court Judge Maryellen Noreika, a Trump appointee, raised concerns about the agreement’s terms and her role in it.
The plea deal was meant to resolve tax and gun violations that had been brought against the younger Biden.

Christopher Clark, who had long served as Hunter Biden’s personal lawyer, requested to be removed from the two cases due to his potential of being called as a necessary witness in the proceedings.
Clark filed a motion with Delaware federal court that denied his plea deal to “withdraw as counsel,” noting that “Mr. Biden will continue to be represented by other firms that have entered an appearance on behalf of Mr. Biden.”
🚨Biden's DOJ wants to dismiss the charges against Hunter, *supposedly* to refile them elsewhere, no doubt before some liberal judge who will rubber-stamp a sweetheart deal.

The charges against Hunter included failing to pay over $100,000 in taxes on an income exceeding $1.5 million in both 2017 and 2018; he was also accused of possessing a firearm illegally while being a drug user at one point in time.
Had he adhered to the terms of his agreement, this gun charge would have been wiped from his record; however if not followed through with properly he could face 10 years in prison for the felony charge alone.
It appears that there were some issues regarding how broad the agreement was written which is why Judge Noreika asked prosecutor Leo Wise if she had ever seen “a Diversion Agreement where the agreement not to prosecute is so broad that it encompasses crimes in a different case?” Wise replied no and was cut off when Noreika declared they’d discuss it further.
Just weeks ago, U.S. Attorney Weiss was negotiating a sweetheart deal for Hunter Biden.
It has become clear that he can no longer be trusted to act as an independent special counsel who is free from the Biden administration’s influence. pic.twitter.com/SV583jYBtF

Fox News reported:
The plan also included an agreement on a separate gun charge — Hunter Biden has been accused of possessing a firearm in 2018 as a drug user. The younger Biden has admitted to struggling with drug addiction in the past. As long as he adhered to the terms of his agreement, the gun case was to be wiped from his record. Otherwise, the felony charge carries 10 years in prison.
This halt only serves as an obstacle for Hunter’s plea deal but does not mean it is completely off the table just yet – there may still be hope for some sort of resolution if all parties can come together amicably. Nonetheless, this situation is certainly far from over and many eyes are watching closely for what will come.
