Deputies with Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office say Aaron Spencer shot and killed “his underage daughter’s reported stalker, whom he found with her after she went missing Tuesday.” 67-year-old Michael Fosler couldn’t keep his hands off her, despite court orders. Since police and the courts couldn’t keep his daughter safe, Spencer took the law into his own hands.
Father called a hero
Social media comments are trending toward calling the father a hero. Police didn’t do their job and now that he did it for them, they’re doing a job on him. The way authorities describe it, 36-year-old Aaron Spencer “was arrested for allegedly shooting and killing his underage daughter’s reported stalker.” His wife puts it a little differently.
“As soon as the predator knew my husband was behind him, he ran. The chase ended in an accident. Aaron was able to retrieve our child alive, but in the process he was attacked and did what he had to do to protect himself and our minor child.” What happened on October 8 was not murder one.
The sheriff’s office got a call reporting the 14-year-old girl missing. They sent a couple deputies to check it out. By the time they arrived the situation had changed. By then, the pervert predator was dead.
Officially, they aren’t saying much other than that they arrested the girl’s father for the killing. Mom tells the whole story in her GiveSendGo campaign to raise money for his legal defense. They had tried letting law enforcement handle things. It didn’t work.
The whole freakish story began several months ago. that’s when their daughter was “targeted, groomed and ultimately raped by the boyfriend of a family friend.” That would be Fosler and she was only 13 at the time. The dirty old man was charged with those serious felony crimes but was out on bond.
The “no contact order” was supposed to guarantee her safety. “We let the justice system do its job. The monster who hurt our child was charged quickly, but released even faster on a $50k bond.” The girls father kept a close eye on her but apparently, not close enough.

Awakened by her dog
While the family waited nervously for Fosler to face trial in December, “for several felonies in relation to what he did to our child,” he didn’t obey the no contact order. Tuesday morning “they were woken up by her dog.” That’s unusual so they went to check on her. She wasn’t in her room.
“We frantically searched our home/property and started calling friends, family, and 911. My husband immediately got into his truck to go blindly searching for our child.” The father realized they didn’t have much of a head start. Also, it’s a small community.
By “God’s never failing grace” the father spotted Fosler at a red light and confirmed his daughter was in the car. There’s a good chance that the predator would have killed her when he finished, this time.
“A car chase ensued and then ended in collision.” Fosler allegedly started the physical fight which ended when Spencer pulled a gun.
“My husband is a hero and we are so thankful to have him home with us for now. We want to do everything possible to ensure he can continue to be here to protect us,” Heather Spencer wrote.
Deputies “are continuing to investigate what happened leading up to the shooting.” They want to be absolutely certain that the father didn’t plan the killing in advance. They’re in a “fact-finding” phase to “determine any concrete justification for the homicide.“
