A report of a former Democrat official tied to the Obamas as having been killed in a nasty car accident.
More details of that accident have come forward.
The deceased has been identified as Peggy Moore, who worked on Obama’s presidential campaign and that of numerous high-profile Democrats.
She’s Gone
Moore and her wife, Hope Wood, were traveling in a Jeep, coming home from a concert with friends when the accident took place.
The Jeep, which was being driven by someone else, collided with a sedan, killing all but one person.
According to the reports, the driver of the sedan, Moore, Wood, and the driver of the Jeep all died, while another passenger in the Jeep survived.
The report stated that the Jeep was “traveling westbound on State Route 76 west of Horse Ranch Creek Road in Fallbrook.
“For unknown reasons, the Jeep collided with a Chrysler sedan [traveling] eastbound on the same roadway.
“The driver of the sedan [was] also pronounced on scene.”
While the Obamas have not yet commented on Moore’s death, we would imagine that a statement will be out soon.
Rep. Barbara Lee (R-CA) did comment, stating, “Peggy Moore & Hope Wood were remarkable women who dedicated their lives to equality & justice.”
The Alice B Toklas LGBTQ Democratic Club expressed its condolences, stating, “We are shocked and saddened by the tragic passing of Peggy Moore and her wife Hope Wood.
“Peggy was an unrelenting political leader, community advocate, and friend to Alice.
“Her leadership on LGBTQ+ issues has made our community stronger. She will always be remembered for her dedication to democratic values, unmatched organizing skills, and affable nature. We extend our support, condolences, and well wishes to Peggy and Hope’s family and friends during this difficult time.”
It’s just a horrible way to die, and regardless of party affiliation, I would not wish that on anyone.
