Biden Flies Off the Cuff, Fails Horribly

There is a certain craftiness required to depart from prepared remarks and fly off the cuff effectively. Historically speaking: some politicians have had it, others didn’t. Biden Fails. The difference lies in how aware they were of their own deficiency. Teddy Roosevelt (apart from being a big government progressive) was excellent at this, and he knew it, similarly, President Trump was outstanding at walking away from the prompter and improvised easily. Conversely President George W. Bush was awful and very, very unaware of it, President Calvin Coolidge was too, he was painfully shy, the difference was… he knew this about himself, and compensated for it earning the nickname “Silent Cal”.

Somebody needs to clue Joe Biden into the fact that he is absolutely terrible at this kind of spontaneity in speech and either no one seems to want to tell him or he simply isn’t listening.

Biden Tries to Smoothly Bad Mouth Half the Nation and Fails

During comments at NATO Headquarters on June 4th, Biden lumbered uneasily from his tried and still not true “America is back” rejoinder to President Trump’s “America First” doctrine, to out and out bashing and defaming the entire Republican party. Presenting them as “diminished” and referring to President Trump’s supporters as “a significant minority of the American people”. As he departed the script, Biden was clearly strained, stumbling and forming his sentences slowly and deliberately, still faltering in syntax, with lots of umms and uhhhs, among other verbal fails.

Biden told the gathered press according to, and The Western Journal,

“I think it’s appropriate to say that the Republican party is vastly diminished in numbers. The leadership of the Republican party is fractured, and the Trump wing of the party is the bulk of the party, but it makes up a significant minority of the American people.”

He continued by targeting President Trump DIRECTLY, utterly demolishing all criticism Democrats once levied at Trump for his needling them while abroad.

“So I think it is a shock and surprise that what’s happened in terms of the consequence of President Trump’s phony populism has happened. And it is disappointing that so many of my Republican colleagues in the Senate who I know know better, have been reluctant to take on, for example, in an investigation, because they’re worried about being primaried.”

As Biden’s comments came to a close, he was clearly drifting and spoke a bit less coherently, but he seemed to suggest against all polling, analysis, and any objective measure that the GOP will be moving AWAY from Trump and the America-First doctrine.

“But at the end of the day, we’ve been through periods like this in American history before where there has been this reluctance to take a chance on your reelection because of the nature of your party’s politics at the moment, I think this is a passing. I don’t mean easily passing, that’s why it’s so important that I succeed in my agenda, the agenda, whether it’s dealing with the vaccine, the economy, infrastructure, it’s important that we demonstrate we can make progress and continue to make progress, and I think we’re going to be able to do that.

So, as I said, the proof will be in where it is six months from now, where we are. But I think you’re going to see that God willing, we’re going to be making progress and there’s going to be a coalescing of a lot of Republicans, particularly younger Republicans who are coming up in the party. “

One of two things is happening here:

1.) Biden is genuinely misinformed or simply underestimates his opposition from the Republican party to a fatal extent. He has crucially misjudged the strength and popularity of President Trump and the America-First wing of the Republican party. or

2.) He is deliberately misleading not only the public but the international community and is willing to sacrifice the prestige and respectability of the United States in the process by publicly belittling a large swath of the electorate.

Ultimately, Biden is also trying to play it off as if he is in command of a nation, possessing a mandate to lead from a largely united people. In this above all other things: Biden fails.
