Karma Comes Quickly for Turncoats
A recent report from Newsweek shows that these turncoats are already facing backlash and primary challengers.
According to Newsweek, “Challengers have also come out against Representatives Adam Kinzinger, Dan Newhouse and Anthony Gonzalez. Another Republican has created an exploratory committee in a potential bid for Representative Tom Rice’s seat and local GOP organizations have vowed to recruit someone to go after Representative Jamie Herrera Buetler’s spot in Congress.”
Congressman David Valadao, who barely won his race in a California swing district, is also being challenged. His possible opponent is Chris Mathys, a former city council member from Fresno, California.
“After my last election, I had decided not to run again. But the vote by Congressman Valadao to impeach President Trump with no witnesses, evidence, or without allowing any defense was too much for me to stay on the sidelines,” Mathys told Newsweek.
Valadao was one of the many turncoats who attacked President Trump after the storming of the Capitol building on January 6. He referred to Trump’s rhetoric prior to the incident as “un-American, abhorrent and absolutely an impeachable offense.”
Liz Cheney
The most high-profile RINO who voted to impeach Trump was Liz Cheney, the House Republican Conference Chair and the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney. She is now facing a primary challenge from State Senator Richard Bouchard.
Bouchard referred to Cheney’s impeachment vote as proof of how “out-of-touch” she is with Wyoming, but he isn’t the only one fighting against the corrupt RINO.
Representative Matt Gaetz traveled to Wyoming to hold a rally against Cheney. One of the best clips from the rally was shared on Twitter by left-wing news outlet The Hill. “This is my first time in Wyoming. I’ve been here for about an hour and I feel like I already know the place a lot better than your misguided representative, Liz Cheney,” Gaetz told the crowd.

Gaetz isn’t just attacking Cheney at rallies, he’s also calling her out on Twitter.
“If @Liz_Cheney no longer speaks for Wyoming, why does she still speak for the House Republican Conference? ’62 percent of all voters view her negatively. Only 10 percent of Republican voters and 13 percent of all voters say they would vote to reelect her,’” he tweeted.

In another tweet, Gaetz noted Cheney’s approval rating:
“Well if DC was a state @Liz_Cheney could actually run for the Senate from her true home.
She has a 10% approval rating among Wyoming Republicans….
…and a 90% approval among Washington Lobbyists.”
