Tucker Carlson finally said what most conservatives have been thinking for a while: Fox News has joined the left in its crusade against President Trump.

Western Journal reported that “The network’s anchors have become even more emboldened in the days since Fox joined NBC, the Associated Press, CNN and other major media outlets in declaring that former Vice President Joe Biden was projected to win the presidency.”

Why Carlson Called Fox News Out

Long-time Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto has never tried to hide his dislike of President Trump, but this time he went too far. His eagerness, rudeness, and sanctimoniousness when he cut away from White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany‘s statement to reporters on Monday was disconcerting.

McEnany was speaking to reporters about the voter fraud that the Trump campaign and the president’s supporters believe occurred during and after the election Pennsylvania, a key battleground state.

In the video, McEnany tells the reporters, “We want every legal vote to be counted and we want every illegal vote to be…”

Cavuto then cuts away from McEnany’s statements, talking over her to tell his viewers: “Whoa, whoa, whoa. I guess we have to be very clear that she’s charging that the other side is welcoming fraud and welcoming illegal voting.

Unless she has more details to back that up, I can’t in good countenance continue showing you this. I want to make sure that maybe they do have something to back that up. But that’s an explosive charge to make that the other side is effectively rigging and cheating.”

Many on the right were outraged at Cavuto’s actions, arguing that it was not his place to deprive his viewers of their ability to hear and understand the charges being levied by the Trump campaign, nor should he have deprived McEnany of her right to speak.

Cavuto was doing exactly what the left, Big Tech, and the mainstream media do, censoring content that he disagrees with.

Tucker’s Response

Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson was obviously bothered by this incident, which he addressed in his opening monologue on Monday night.

“In a democracy, you cannot ignore honest questions from citizens. You’re not allowed. You can’t dismiss them out of hand as crazy or immoral for asking. You can’t just cut away from coverage you don’t like,” the Fox News anchor stated.

“In a free society, you have to convince the public of your legitimacy. You have to win them over with reason. Democracy is always a voluntary arrangement. Telling voters to shut up is never enough,” Carlson continued.

The Fox News anchor believes there is only one way to unite this country: “We need to find out exactly what happened in this election. There are questions. And that means we have to answer them.”

Carlson went on to discuss multiple instances of shady things taking place at polling stations, and mentioned that many whistleblowers have come forward.

“In Pennsylvania, Nevada and Michigan, the Trump campaign has now collected signed affidavits that attest to criminal activity during the voting process. In the city of Detroit, witnesses have alleged under oath that ballots were improperly backdated and counted without matching signatures.

One poll watcher alleges that 40,000 late, unsealed absentee ballots were counted orally and all of them went for Democrats,” the Fox News anchor stated.

“In the state of Nevada, eight whistleblowers within the Nevada Election department said they witnessed voter fraud abetted by other officials and by their supervisors,” Carlson added.

“According to one affidavit, a poll worker saw people bringing handfuls of ballots to a Biden-Harris campaign van. Those ballots were then filled out at the van, placed in return envelopes. Eventually, Biden supporters formed a wall to block outsiders from seeing what they were doing,” he continued.

Carlson also discussed the issue of dead people voting, stating: “All of that is real. We spent all weekend checking it.”

Even if these claims of fraud are false, they still need to be investigated in order to reassure the public that their voting systems are safe and secure. “False claims of fraud can be every bit as destructive as the fraud itself. So we need to be careful and responsible, all of us,” Carlson said.

“What we just told you is true and there’s more of it,” Carlson concluded.

After Fox News prematurely called Arizona for Joe Biden, many loyal viewers became former Fox viewers. Many more gave up on the news network after it declared Joe Biden the “president-elect” on Saturday.

The brief clip shared on Twitter by Ilhan Omar illustrates Fox News’ newfound boldness in their contempt for President Trump, and their unwillingness to understand that they do not control the presidential election outcome.

One Fox News guest says that even if CNN or Fox News says somebody’s president, it doesn’t make them the president, pointing out the fact that news outlets do not determine the winner of the race, the Electoral College does.

Until the legal challenges have been worked out, and recounts have been done, the outcome is not decided. With a look of sheer contempt on her face, Sandra Smith, co-host of America’s Newsroom, says, “What?…What is happening?…Like, Trace. We’ve called it.”

After this statement, it is highly likely that Fox News lost a substantial amount of viewers.
