Kristi Noem Officially Offers Her Endorsement to Trump

It’s official! South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has given her endorsement to former President Donald Trump for his second term in office.

Noem made the huge announcement while at a state-Republican Party rally in Rapid City.

The South Dakota governor stated she would do whatever it took to help him “win and save this country.”

The endorsement is particularly interesting given that speculation is building that Noem is positioning herself to be among the top picks for Trump’s running mate.

She has been in the media quite a bit recently, with a $5 million ad blitz playing during the first GOP primary debate, as well as regular appearances on Fox News commending Trump.

When asked if she would consider being Trump’s Vice President if he asked her to serve, Noem told an outlet that “of course” she would consider it.

Veteran Republican strategist Dave Carney believes that she could make an attractive ticket for the president due to her energy and articulateness.

Prior to her 2018 gubernatorial election, Governor Noem served in both South Dakota Legislature and U.S House of Representatives before becoming governor.

She won her first term by 3.4 points and was reelected by nearly 30 points in 2022 according to Balltopedia records.

A RealClearPolitics (RCP) average for 2024 national Republican primary polls conducted between August 24th & September 4th indicate that President Donald Trump holds 53% support from GOP hopefuls followed by Florida Gov Ron DeSantis at 14%.

Trump thanked Governor Noem after she introduced him saying “I want to thank one of the most successful governors in the entire nation, an incredible person — South Dakota’s own Kristi Noem, thank you Kristi…I’m truly honored to receive your endorsement very much so, I appreciate it.”
