Shop NowCNN has been under some major reconstruction after being bought up by Warner Bros. Discovery. Many have fallen prey to the new owner’s desire to get back to delivering News the people can trust rather than a majorly biased channel that was sinking ratings quicker than the Titanic.

Now CNN’s top two communications leaders are leaving the network. According to CNN’s Oliver Darcy, the communications leader’s departure was announced just hours after the firing of CEO Chris Licht.
“The top two leaders of CNN’s communications department, Kris Coratti Kelly and Matt Dornic, as well as Licht’s chief of staff, Devan Caye, will also depart the company, I’m told,” Darcy tweeted.
Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav had recently joined CNN’s editorial morning call where he announced that Licht would be leaving his role as CEO. It is reported that Licht is to be replaced by CNN executive Amy Entelis. Entelis previously worked with disgraced former CEO Jeff Zucker.

Just before Licht’s firing, The Atlantic published an article, “Inside The Meltdown At CNN,” which allegedly spotlighted the tensions between staffers and Licht since he took over the network last April.
Licht apparently apologized to the CNN staff during Monday’s editorial meeting. He then confirmed that he would remain in his position as CEO.
“I know these past few days have been very hard for this group,” Licht reportedly told staffers. “I fully recognize that this news cycle and my role in it overshadowed the incredible week of reporting that we just had and distracted from the work of every single journalist in this org. And for that, I am sorry.”
