Cameron John Wagenius has allegedly been linked to several other high-profile cyber crimes. He’s under arrest and awaiting extradition to Seattle.
Army soldier arrested
Cameron John Wagenius is a 20-year-old U.S. Army soldier stationed at Fort Cavazos, formerly Fort Hood, in Killeen, Texas. He’s been arrested and charged with selling confidential phone records.
Specifically, alleged AT&T call logs for both President Donald Trump and his election opponent Kamala Harris.
It’s unclear what rank the Army member held, what his role was or “whether his position as a soldier aided him in carrying out his alleged crimes.”
What we do know is that in November he offered to sell the stolen information online.
Even though he’s technically “property” of the Army, Wagenius was recently indicted by a Seattle grand jury. They saddled him with two felony counts.
Unlawfully transferring confidential phone records information on an online forum and on an online communications platform.

High-profile cyber crimes
Using the online handle “Kiberphant0m,” the Army soldier “boasted about hacking more than a dozen telecommunications firms.” That’s how he allegedly got his hands on call records belonging to Harris and Trump.
Complicating things for his defense attorney, Wagenius “has allegedly been linked to several high-profile cyber crimes.” All the juicy details were left out of the indictment.
Army officials with Fort Cavazos aren’t returning calls to reporters. They issued an official statement and they’re sticking to it. “We are aware of the arrest of a Fort Cavazos soldier.”
The Third Armored Corps “will continue to cooperate with all law enforcement agencies as appropriate.” Wagenius is awaiting extradition to Seattle.
This is a totally separate incident from the one which happened back in September. In that one, the DOJ “brought charges against three members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for hacking Trump campaign staffers.” Also “leaking sensitive information to media outlets and the campaign of President Biden and Harris.”
They don’t like Trump. The Army is also taking heat for being connected to both of the terror attacks which happened on New Year’s Day. Even though the FBI continues to insist there’s no connection.
