Shop NowYou know that massive spending bill Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) helped pass for Democrats?
Well, it includes a stack of cash for Secretary Mayorkas and the DHS.
No, it is not for deporting illegal immigrants.
$20 Million Reasons
McConnell wants us all to celebrate the new spending package as a big win.
All McConnell was worried about was the defense spending so he could get his kickbacks from the defense companies.
Buried in the bill was $20 million for the Alternative to Detention Case Management Pilot Program (CMPP).
The program provides “voluntary case management and other services” to illegal immigrants.
This includes mental health services, school enrollment, legal aid, “cultural orientation programs” and connections to social services.
So, we are basically paying for the defense fund of illegal immigrants with our tax dollars now.
Senators Roger Marshall (R-KS) and Bill Hagerty (R-TN) penned a letter demanding more answers from the administration on the program.
The letter stated, “Congress has a duty, including a fiduciary duty, to ensure that taxpayer money is spent correctly and that a congressionally directed pilot program has not been usurped as a means of funneling money to NGOs espousing rhetoric aimed at frustrating and dismantling immigration enforcement and our nation’s borders.”
Maybe they should have brought that up before 27 Republicans voted to support the omnibus spending bill.
