Shop NowThe Democrat word of the week is Bullsh!t. The latest epithet hurling episode happened when a Huffington Post reporter tried to press Joe Manchin about child tax credits. “This is bullsh!t. You’re bullsh!t.” Well, the Huffpo reporter whined to himself in a snit. You’re supposed to be a Democrat. Just a couple days ago, San Francisco Mayor London Breed declared police are the answer to “all the BULLSH!T that has destroyed our city.”
Manchin still holding out
When a Huffington Post reporter tried to press Joe Manchin about child tax credits, he got such an earful he had to take it out on Twitter.
Joe Manchin is one of Joe Biden’s biggest headaches right now. He’s holding out on the progressive pork bonanza, shoulder-to-shoulder with fellow DINO centrist Kyrstin Sinema.
The palace considers these two enemies of the state as more of a nightmare than Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin combined. He won’t vote for the bill but the child tax credit isn’t the reason why, even if it is a boondoggle. Well, at least not directly.
Arthur Delaney, a reporter for HuffPost Politics, asked the Senator about the child tax credit rumors and got an earful. “I’m done, I’m done,” Manchin snapped. “I’m not opposed to child tax credit, I’ve never been opposed to child tax credit.”
When Huffpo tried to get a word in edgewise the DINO ripped him apart like a velociraptor. “Guys, I’m not negotiating with any of you all. You can ask all the questions you want. Guys, let me go. This is bullsh!t. God almighty.”
“This is bullshit. You’re bullshit,” Joe Manchin just told me

It all started when Lindsey Graham called Biden’s Build back better dead in the water. “I think Build Back Better is dead forever and let me tell you why: Because Joe Manchin has said he’s not going to vote for a bill that will add to the deficit.” That’s a true statement of fact.
He’s also right when he says, “if you do away with the budget gimmicks, Build Back Better, according to the CBO adds $3 trillion to the deficit.”
It makes inflation worse
Graham was also correct when he noted that Manchin “doesn’t want to vote for a bill that makes inflation worse.” Things got dicey when Graham added “and one thing we haven’t talked about tonight that was mentioned today.”
He didn’t say the balky senator brought it up, or was opposed, only that the “child-care provisions in Build Back Better prohibit religious institutions from receiving money.”
I had asked if it was true he wanted CTC out of BBB.
“I've always been for child tax credits,” he said.
So I asked if he wants it to continue paying parents $300 a month, and he said he was not going to "negotiate" with me and that I'm bullshit

Delaney took his anger to the Twittersphere where he couldn’t wait to document the exchange with Manchin the maniac. “I had asked if it was true he wanted CTC out of BBB.” His reply was “I’ve always been for child tax credits.”
So, Delaney pushed on with “if he wants it to continue paying parents $300 a month, and he said he was not going to ‘negotiate’ with me and that I’m bullsh!t.”
Huffington post thought they were being sly in pointing out an apparent side-step maneuver by Manchin. According to the rabid liberal, “everyone around here is ‘for’ the child tax credit. It’s a question of whether you want it to keep paying parents as much as $300 per month.”
A loophole in the math means that “If the advance monthly payments and extra $1,600 expire at the end of the month, there will still be a $2,000 partially refundable credit.”
