Florida Governor Ron DeSantis made a promise to send illegal immigrants to progressive “sanctuary cities” and he’s fulfilling that promise, according to reports.
DeSantis really is a man of his word, as he has sent two planes of illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard in accordance with his plan.
A statement from the Governor’s office confirmed the move: “Yes, Florida can confirm the two planes with illegal immigrants that arrived in Martha’s Vineyard today were part of the state’s relocation program to transport illegal immigrants to sanctuary destinations.”
A spokeswoman for DeSantis continued: “States like Massachusetts, New York and California will better facilitate the care of these individuals who they have invited into our country by incentivizing illegal immigration through their designation as ‘sanctuary states’ and support for the Biden administration’s open border policies.”
Fox News obtained video showing the planes arriving at Martha’s Vineyard Airport in Massachusetts with about 50 migrants.
These actions are part of Republican states’ efforts to increase the attention brought to the migrants crisis.
Just last year in April DeSantis shared that the state’s budget allocated $12 million to the Florida Department of Transportation, specifically naming Delaware and Martha’s Vineyard as potential migrant relocation destinations.
“It is not the responsibility of Floridians to subsidize aliens to reside in our state unlawfully; we did not consent to Biden’s open-borders agenda,” said DeSantis’ office.
The recent transport was addressed by Jesse Watters during his Fox News segment, noting that many of America’s left-wing elites have multi-million dollar vacation homes.
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo joined Watters on the show, saying, “You know, these are all sanctuary cities until are in their sanctuary. I doubt the residents will embrace .”

To manage the influx of migrants, island officials and emergency management have gathered.
Obviously taking issue with the relocation, Dem Senator Julian Cyr (Mass.) accused the GOP lawmakers of “capitalizing on the difficult circumstances that these families are in and contorting that for the purposes of a ‘gotcha’ moment.”
Martha’s Vineyard is known as a high-end neighborhood that holds many liberal elites.
