Since President Donald Trump took office on January 20, there have been at least 219 arrests of known or suspected terrorists, marking a 655% increase in terrorist arrests from the same period in 2024, when former President Joe Biden was in office and encouraging illegal immigration and discouraging border security.
One of the terrorists arrested was Harpreet Singh, one of India’s “Most Wanted” terrorists, who has been accused of masterminding the grenade terror attack that targeted a police officer in India. He has also been accused of “planning multiple attacks on police stations both in India and the United States,” according to FBI Director Kash Patel.

Singh was reportedly captured by Biden’s Border Patrol after illegally entering the U.S. on January 27, 2022, in Arizona. However, they swiftly released him and gave him a court date far into the future, despite him being a wanted terrorist. He has been freely roaming the U.S. for around three years until Trump’s U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and FBI agents finally arrested him in Sacramento, California on April 16.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin blasted the Biden administration for allowing Singh to roam free in the U.S. without even attempting deportation or even just arresting him.
“The Biden administration not only let a wanted terrorist into our country, but after he was arrested by Border Patrol agents, they released him into the interior of our country,” she said. “While shocking, it’s not surprising given the Biden administration routinely released unvetted terrorists and criminals into American communities.”
Speaking to the New York Post, DHS revealed that India has accused Singh of providing funds for terrorism, helping recruit terrorists, and planning grenade attacks on an Indian Police Station and a retired police officer’s home with the intent to kill and instill fear.

Citing the DHS, The Post Millennial noted that “Indian officials claim Singh is a senior operative linked to Harwinder Singh Rinda, a leader of the US-designated foreign terrorist organization Pakistan-based Babbar Khasla International (BKI). The BKI is a religious extremist group that has been involved in political assassinations, armed attacks, and bombings… Singh is also wanted for multiple violent extortion and threatening operations in India.”
Singh had reportedly been “evading capture by using untraceable burner phones and encrypted applications,” according to a statement from the FBI.
McLaughlin celebrated the Trump administration’s apprehension and deportation terrorists like Singh, stating: “Under President Trump and Secretary Noem’s leadership, ICE is unleashed to remove these violent criminals from America’s streets and put an end to catch and release.”
