In a move that “stunned officials throughout the Pentagon,” Acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller has ordered that the Pentagon “halt cooperation with the transition of President-elect Biden,” according to reporting by Axios.
After the media reported that the Trump administration was allowing Biden and his team to begin the transition process, many Americans thought the fight against election fraud was over.
Now, hope is being restored after Acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller, who took his position after President Trump fired Mark Esper in November, blocked Biden’s transition team.
“A top Biden official was unaware of the directive. Administration officials left open the possibility cooperation would resume after a holiday pause. The officials were unsure what prompted Miller’s action, or whether President Trump approved,” Axios reported.
“I can confirm that there were scheduled meetings canceled as of today. On what grounds or until when, it’s not clear,” said Katie Bo Williams, senior national security correspondent for Defense One.

The group “Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington” took the opportunity to attack the Trump administration after the news broke.
“Blocking the transition could have slowed down vaccine rollout. But they didn’t care. Pausing Pentagon cooperation with the transition could put people in danger. But they don’t care,” the group tweeted.

“This could just be petty idiocy. Or it could be dangerous. Perhaps Congress should say or do something?” tweeted RINO Bill Kristol.
