Shop NowCalifornia just found another way to drive taxpaying citizens away from the state, so they can hand it over to fentanyl addled zombies. Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom is expected to sign another nanny-state regulation that their experts insist will force safer driving. The only thing which will be flowing smoothly is the outbound traffic as everyone heads elsewhere.
California regulates speed
California decided to regulate speed. Not the methamphetamine kind which they should be regulating, they’re after lead-footed drivers. It’s the latest rage in Europe and progressives are all in favor of anything recommended by the World Economic Forum.
They already have devices built into their cars to regulate how fast they can go. This version, after it’s signed into law, will kick in when 2030 rolls around.
California wants to be the first state in the nation to require “speed-limiting measures for vehicles.” That means “the installation of speed sensors to prevent drivers from exceeding legally established speed limits.”
The experts swear up and down it will “reduce road accidents.”
In Europe the gizmos actually prevent the vehicle from going faster than ten miles an hour over the limit. The version California decided on doesn’t take control of your car, just control of your mind.
Like those annoying seat belt buzzers, your 2030 compliant car will nag you incessantly, with both audio and visual alerts.

Aware of the violation
Under Senate Bill SB 961, “which has already been approved by both legislative chambers in California,” you’ll have a friendly robot co-pilot to back-seat drive from the dashboard.
Newsom is expected to sign it as soon as it crosses his desk and the new law will require every new model on the road to have one.
Thanks to GPS and camera technology, “the sensors will be able to detect the speed limit of the area where the vehicle is operating, adjusting accordingly to the specific road or zone.”
The prototype version California is testing now will beep and flash at you for exceeding the local limit by more than the 10 mph tolerance.
You can expect subsequent models to become more aggressive, with custom tailored audio messages and heads up display warnings. Things like “there’s a school zone ahead and you aren’t slowing fast enough on your approach.” Or, “it’s not safe to drive 60 miles an hour in a zone posted for 45. I’ve alerted the authorities and your insurance company of the infraction. Two points have been charged against your license. Your fine of $580 has been automatically deducted from your checking account and you may wish to note that your insurance payment will increase by 20 percent next month. Please remember to drive safely in California.”
Some say the day is coming when everything east of the San Andreas fault will slip off into the Atlantic ocean and we won’t need to worry about it anymore.
