In response to the horrific terrorist attack by Hamas in Gaza, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has declared a “complete siege” on Gaza on Monday morning, October 9. This siege cuts off electricity, fuel, food and water entering the region.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has promised to use “all the strength of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF)” in order to protect Israeli citizens from further harm.

To ensure that justice is served, Israel has initiated “Operation Swords of Iron.” The aim of this military operation is twofold: to strike back at Hamas and protect Israeli citizens against any future attacks.
As part of this effort, ground forces are working together with air and naval forces in an attempt to cripple Hamas’ infrastructure and capabilities as much as possible. In addition to this coordinated effort by various branches of the IDF, Gallant declared that they will be setting up a complete siege on Gaza with no access to electricity, food, water or gas – essentially cutting off all supplies into Gaza until justice is served for those who have suffered under these terrorist attacks.
Between Saturday and Monday morning, over 1,200 targets were hit by Israeli aircraft across the Gaza Strip, including weapons storage and manufacturing sites, command and control centers, rocket launchers and more.

In his message directed at both terrorists and civilians alike Prime Minister Netanyahu promised that he would use all available resources in order to restore control over southern Israel while also exacting revenge upon those responsible for this humanitarian crisis – be it through airstrikes or ground invasions if necessary.
On Sunday alone Israeli aircrafts struck approximately 1,200 locations across the Strip which included storage facilities, command centers and launch pads among other targets. It was reported by Ministry of Health in Gaza that 91 children were among those killed during Monday’s airstrike while almost 2 900 people were injured due to these aerial bombardments conducted by IDF forces since Saturday morning when war was officially declared against Hamas militants operating within Gaza’s borders.

Scenes of Israeli aerial bombardment of Gaza, the world’s largest open-air prison camp, show total destruction. Gaza’s 2.3 million residents have practically no way of escaping.
