ABC News has been alerted by family that Ivana Trump, the ex-wife of former President Donald Trump, has died at the age of 73.
The Trump family released a statement in observance of her passing, “Our mother was an incredible woman — a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend.”
The family continued on to state:
“Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled from communism and embraced this country. She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion and determination. She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children and ten grandchildren.”
The FDNY reported that just this Thursday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. Manhattan paramedics were called to the Upper East Side apartment of Ivana Trump for a cardiac arrest incident.
Donald Trump made a statement about his ex-wife’s death on his platform Truth Social, remembering Ivana as a “wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life.”
“Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric,” he shared. “She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her.”
Ivana Trump was Donald Trump’s first wife, and the pair shared three children together which includes Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric Trump.
Before marrying Donald Trump in 1977, Ivana grew up in the former Czechoslovakia under Communist rule. In 1992, the couple divorced.
