Trump’s Florida residence, Mar-A-Lago, has been raided by agents of The Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Trump claims this latest attack on him, and former members of his cabinet, is all apart an orchestrated attack by Democrats weaponizing the justice system in an attempt to stop Trump from running for re-election in the 2024 presidential election.
“These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents,” Trump said in a statement. “After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate.”
“They even broke into my safe!” Trump continued. “It is political targeting at the highest level!”

This latest attack on the former president comes after earlier this month a federal grand jury subpoenaed former Trump White House counsel Pat Cipollone and Trump Deputy Counsel Patrick Philbin as part of a criminal investigation of the event that lead up to the U.S. Capital Building protest on January 6, 2021.
Former President Donald Trump claims the raid was “unannounced. “He equated it to “prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats.”
He continued with “Such an assault could only take place in broken, Third-World Countries. Sadly, America has now become one of those Countries, corrupt at a level not seen before. They even broke into my safe! What is the difference between this and Watergate, where operatives broke into the Democrat National Committee? Here, in reverse, Democrats broke into the home of the 45th President of the United States.”

It all comes down to Trumps allegations of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election as the FBI raid on Mar-A-Lago comes just after The Washington Post reported in July that the Department of Justice was investigating if the former president was part of “its criminal probe of efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.”
Attorney General Merrick Garland has already alluded to his over reach in the investigation.
In an interview with NBC News last Tuesday he hinted that the criminal investigation into the events of January 6 was “the most wide ranging investigation in its history,” and there are things that the Department of Justice will find that the House Select January 6th committee “haven’t found.”
