As the Israel-Hamas conflict continues to rage on, many people are starting to question the security of the United States, especially at our borders. And it looks like FBI Director Christopher Wray is one of them.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) recently issued a warning about the rise of violent extremism both domestically and internationally. This warning comes amid ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, which has already caused thousands of deaths – including 29 Americans.
On Saturday, October 14, FBI Director Christopher Wray spoke to the International Association of Chiefs of Police conference in San Diego about the need for vigilance.
He expressed condolences to those affected by violence in Israel and emphasized that targeting people based on their faith is “totally unacceptable.” He urged law enforcement officials to stay vigilant for potential lone actors who may be inspired by recent events to commit acts of violence against innocent people.

Hopefully they will be taking a break from tracking down Trump supporters to confront this.

While this warning from the FBI is timely and necessary, it raises questions about how they are spending their resources. Many Republicans feel that the agency has been prioritizing tracking down supporters of Donald Trump over confronting actual terror threats.
It was recently reported that confidential data had revealed that most antigovernmental investigations being conducted were related to Trump supporters. This has sparked controversy as Biden continues to target President Trump with several criminal indictments across multiple states – leading some to question whether or not these investigations are politically motivated.
An anonymous FBI official acknowledged this dilemma, saying “The FBI is in an almost impossible position. While we are committed to preventing any recurrence of the tragic events of January 6, 2021, we must also uphold the Constitutional rights of all Americans to engage in political campaigning, free speech, and peaceful protest.”
The situation is further complicated by the current crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border where military-age males from various countries have been entering without proper permission or documentation – raising fears about what could go wrong if left unchecked.
