Israel apparently backed down on attacking Iran where it really hurts. It wasn’t nice for Joe Biden to let that leak. Now, the Ayatollah thinks he can push Benjamin Netanyahu around. To counter the damage, Netanyahu issued a public statement noting that Joe is entitled to his opinion, even when it’s wrong. It’s also a good thing he’s not running their war.

Israel watching own interests

Israel first! Benjamin Netanyahu told Joe Biden on Tuesday. “We listen to the opinions of the United States, but we will make our final decisions based on our national interest.” Everyone, especially Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has been waiting for an Israeli response to the latest Iranian aggression.

There were some drastic measures on the table. Things like bombing Iran’s oilfields or taking out their nuclear capabilities. Both of those had the Ayatollah in panic mode.

The Supreme Leader called all his Arab neighbors, most of whom have U.S. military bases on their soil and warned them to stay out of it. Anyone allowing Israel or their allies to use airspace for an attack on those ultra-sensitive targets would instantly see their own oil fields blazing away.

Nobody involved or affected had any idea if Netanyahu would go through with something anyway. The Ayatollah hasn’t slept in two weeks. Then Netanyahu got a call from Joe.

As soon as he hung up, “unnamed U.S. officials” rushed to leak the news to their favorite reporters. Netanyahu, they revealed, told Joe and Kamala that “any counterstrike would be limited to military sites.” The Ayatollah breathed a huge sigh of relief.

While the Biden regime assumes that means no “nuclear or energy facilities” They could be mistaken. Israel might still consider those to be “military” targets. Even if they’re chock full of civilians.

Half a war

Half a war is a whole lot better than a decisive one, the military industrial complex likes to say. That way they can keep selling weapons to both sides for decades. Biden’s handlers would love to see “a more limited attack aimed at preventing a full-scale war.” Israel still seems to have a problem with that. They tried it before and it didn’t work.

That’s how they ended up with Hamas invading to rape, pillage, plunder and go home with captives. Hezbollah has been keeping them awake with rocket fire every night for a year and the Houthis keep interrupting their shipping trade. All of those groups are fully sponsored by Iran.

The time has come for decisive action to end the Iranian threat once and for all, Israel has been insisting for weeks. Meanwhile, Joe Biden’s been pressured by his overseers in Brussels to put a stop to such nonsense. In the same call offering a THAAD missile defense system he threatened to cut off military aid if the Israelis really do take decisive measures.

The leaks make it appear that Netanyahu has been pummeled into submission. The plan “was met with relief in Washington,” The Washington Post reported. It was met with a lot more relief in Tehran.

The Wall Street Journal is proudly reporting that “the assurance was made in a call last week between Netanyahu and U.S. President Joe Biden, as well as in conversations between U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and his Israeli counterpart, Yoav Gallant.

Giving the alleged leaders of allied nations an official assurance is one thing. Allowing that assurance to leak to the enemy is treachery of the worst kind. You can bet Israel won’t forget it.
