As the 2020 election heats up, all eyes are on several states and one battleground state, in particular, is looking promising for President Donald Trump and Republicans.
Big News in Major Battleground State
Clark County in Nevada decided not to certify one of its local races due to huge discrepancies.
The former Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt tweeted about it.
“The Clark County Commission just threw out an election that represents almost 1/6 of the total votes cast in Clark County because there were too many “discrepancies” to be sure that that the results in that election can be certain. 153K votes in this election.”
President Trump Weighs In
To this President Trump retweeted and then commented on the issue happening in the battleground state:
“Big victory moments ago in the State of Nevada. The all Democrat County Commissioner race, on same ballot as President, just thrown out because of large scale voter discrepancy. Clark County officials do not have confidence in their own election security. Major impact!”

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that the race being questioned was for Clark County Commission District C which makes up a huge 1/6 of the total votes in the state’s most populated county.
The two candidates in the race was between Stavros Anthony, a Republican councilman from Las Vegas, and Ross Miller, the Democrat who is a former secretary of state.
Special Election Set for Next Month
The commission directed Registrar of Voters Joe Gloria to come up with options for a special election next month. Due to high levels of discrepancies, a recount is unlikely to resolve the election.
“That’s the only race in the entire election where we have any concern related to the outcome, and it’s because of the close margin,” Gloria told commissioners.
President Trump’s lawyers are gathering mounting evidence in several battleground states that they say will likely overturn the results of the election which would name Donald Trump the winner and Joe Biden the loser.
