Fox Business host Stuart Varney highlighted the numbers during his “Varney & Co.” show on April 8, where he pointed out how the numbers of illegal aliens being given Social Security numbers skyrocketed while Biden was in the White House — starting with 270,425 in his first year in office and ending with 2,095,247 during Biden’s last year in office.
“DOGE found that immigration gave a work authorization document to illegals just five months after they filed for asylum,” Varney explained. “That document allowed them to work while they waited to hear whether their asylum requests were being accepted or denied. So, they could work as an illegal, knowing it would take years before their case was heard.”
The Fox Business host then pointed out that the Biden administration simply sent the Social Security documentation to illegal aliens via the U.S. Postal Service without any added safeguards.
“The immigration department mailed them a social security number. No interview. No proof of identity, just put it in the mail,” Varney said.
As of the end of Biden’s only term in office, the numbers of illegal aliens with Social Security numbers were staggering. According to DOGE, 270,425 “non-citizens” were given Social Security numbers in 2021. In 2022, the number more than doubled, reaching 590,193. In 2023, the Biden administration gave 964,163 “non-citizens” Social Security numbers. In 2024, Biden’s last year in office, he gave more Social Security numbers to “non-citizens” than in all three past years combined: 2,095,247. This brought the total of “non-citizens” with Social Security numbers to a staggering 3,920,028.
“DOGE also discovered that 1.3 million aliens are now receiving Medicaid,” Varney stated, adding: “Millions received drivers licenses, some registered to vote, and DOGE said some actually did vote. Try and square that against Democrat claims that Musk is destroying Social Security and cutting Medicaid. He’s not destroying, he’s weeding out people who don’t qualify. Who is really guilty of misinformation in this case? It is not Elon Musk.”
