Excommunicated or not, the ultra-conservative former Vatican ambassador to the United States is never going to “recognize and submit” to the authority of Jorge Mario Bergoglio. No matter what title he thinks he holds. The Argentinian is far from “infallible.”
Viganò remains defiant
Carlo Maria Viganò knew it was coming. He wears his newly declared banishment from the Catholic Church as a badge of honor and martyrdom to the TRUTH. Being persecuted by those he’s convinced are really demon-spawn is only par for the course. The announcement of his excommunication is big enough news that CNN covered it but they seriously downplay and sanitize the issues for their liberal readers. We here at The GOP Times happen to have some deep inside information regarding the “Deep Church.”
A Good against Evil battle of “Biblical” proportions has been waging far longer than most people imagine. This non-Catholic author got his first taste of it starting around 1996, in an amazingly eye opening series of blunt and candid telephone conversations with then-Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger. The TRUTH was something Ratzinger genuinely considered his highest priority. Getting it officially recognized was something he fully understood would take a lot of diplomacy. Somebody had to start somewhere and do something. He did the best he could with what he had and made honest progress in the long run.
As soon as Cardinal Ratzinger was elevated to Pope Benedict XVI, he dug right in to his mission of cleaning up church corruption. Viganò shared that mission and was one of Benedict’s top lieutenants. Stamping out sin, abuse, crime and hypocrisy in the church was Benedict’s primary reason for stepping down to become “Pope Emeritus.” Not failing health, which was the official reason for doing something which hadn’t been done for more than 600 years. The real objective was an overhaul of the “Curia.”
Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano has officially been Excommunicated by Red Pope Francis.
Gee, I wonder why?

That’s “the administrative institutions of the Holy See” and also “the central body through which the affairs of the Roman Catholic Church are conducted.” They’re the red-tape unwinding bureaucrats who know where to find all the files. They’re especially hard to get rid of.
When a pope dies, the entire city is plunged into lawlessness and chaos. There’s a scramble to get the new one up and running quickly. That means “rubber stamping” all the curia appointments in a rush. The bureaucrats just keep doing what they’ve done all along, under new management. That also means the bribery, corruption and moral decay continues unchecked for the life of the bureaucrat. When Benedict stepped down, it was an orderly transition and his replacement needed to approve every curia appointment, one by one.
There was only one aspect of his plan that was in Divine hands and God decided to teach him the meaning of Job. Benedict had no control over who his successor would be. Fate selected the one person he, while on an Earthly plain, really couldn’t stand. Argentinian Cardinal Bergoglio. Benedict made the best of it and was sure to have breakfast with his successor to lay out the day’s plan, each and every morning. Viganò was also keeping a close eye on the new Pontiff. That’s why he’s being excommunicated now.

Refuses to recognize and submit
The official announcement was handed down by the Vatican on Friday, July 5, declaring “Italian Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, a former papal ambassador to the United States who became an ultra-conservative critic of Pope Francis, has been excommunicated for schism.” That’s the religious version of “insurrection.”
The prelate, the announcement notes, “had refused to ‘recognize and submit‘ to the authority of the pope, and had rejected ‘communion‘ with members of the Catholic Church and its authoritative teachings.”
The straw which broke the camel’s back was when Viganò called for Joe Biden to be excommunicated. His position on abortion clearly runs counter to Catholic doctrine. That hasn’t been mentioned by the Vatican. Instead, they point to the “bombshell dossier calling on Francis to resign,” which the Archbishop wrote back in 2018.

For years, he’s been accusing Bergoglio of “knowing about allegations of abuse of trainee priests carried out by the former cardinal of Washington, DC, Theodore McCarrick, and failing to act.” They didn’t dare do anything about it while Benedict was still alive.
Viganò issued a statement of his own. “Francis’ election to the papacy should be considered null and void.” Bergoglio is the one guilty of “heresy and schism.” Not only does the Argentine support “climate fraud,” he used his authority to back experimental Covid-19 vaccines. Even worse, the so-called Pope has been promoting an “inclusive, immigrationist, eco-sustainable, and gay-friendly” church. Viganò has spent his entire career fighting against such abomination.
That’s why he “was also at the center of controversy for arranging a meeting between the pope and Kim Davis, a Kentucky clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, during the pope’s 2015 visit to the US.” His nickname of the guerrilla Archbishop was an appropriate one. The Vatican can strip his titles but they’ll never stop his rebellion.
