Attorney General William Barr just quit. President Trump announced on Twitter on Monday evening that Barr will be leaving the administration before Christmas.
The president’s two part tweet read: “Just had a very nice meeting with Attorney General Bill Barr at the White House. Our relationship has been a very good one, he has done an outstanding job! As per letter, Bill will be leaving just before Christmas to spend the holidays with his family…”
“…Deputy Attorney General Jeff Rosen, an outstanding person, will become Acting Attorney General. Highly respected Richard Donoghue will be taking over the duties of Deputy Attorney General. Thank you to all!”

The tweet also included a picture of AG Barr’s resignation letter.
Barr has come under fire by the president and his supporters recently after it was revealed that the Department of Justice had known for months about the existence of investigations into Hunter Biden and his crooked business dealings.
President Trump and other conservatives were rightly angry about this information being hidden until after the election, considering that it would definitely have made an impact on many voters who may have decided to abstain from voting for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden had they known the truth.
Brigitte Gabriel, author and founder of ACT for America, expressed views about Barr on Twitter that many conservatives are agreeing with, writing: “Can we just fire AG Barr tonight? Send him out in the cold with a box of his things. He’s picked the deep state over the United States.”
