Shop NowHouse Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) just got another huge win.
It was really a coinflip if he would be able to pull kicking Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) off her Foreign Affairs Committee assignment.
Unlike the Intelligence Committee, he needed a chamber vote and there were Republicans that openly disagreed with this decision.
Big Win
Democrats fired back at McCarthy with their floor speeches.
Most of them went after Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) for having tweeted about Kanye.
The only problem was that Jordan’s tweet about Kanye was long before his meltdown and subsequent anti-Semitic remarks.
Omar has been slamming the Jews, Israel, and even our country from day one.
McCarthy must have been convincing whipping up votes behind the scenes because he managed to get every Republican on board with the vote, 218-211.
Omar responded, “I am Muslim, I am an immigrant, and interestingly, from Africa.
“Is anyone surprised that I am being targeted?
“Is anyone surprised that I am somehow deemed unworthy to speak about American foreign policy, or that they see me as a powerful voice that needs to be silenced?”
She is not being targeted because of her faith, that is a certainty.
She surely is not being targeted because of her race or gender.
She is being targeted specifically for what she said, and that is well documented.
Democrats love to pull out the race and gender cards, which is what virtually every Democrat floor response centered around.
Could it be that people are finally getting tired of Democrats crying wolf?
