The recent indictment of former President Donald Trump by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has caused a stir in the political sphere.

From his lawyers to allies and even Governor Brian Kemp, everyone is talking about it one way or another.

Alina Habba, who is a lawyer working for Donald Trump’s defense team, confronted Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy on Wednesday about his growing skepticism towards the defenses offered by Trump and his surrogates.

She initially dismissed all accusations against President Trump claiming that his right to due process had been violated.

When Doocy brought up an op-ed written by Andy McCarthy in New York Post suggesting that Trump could be in serious legal trouble, Habba replied that they have inside information which she does not plan to breach due to confidentiality and ethics concerns.

She then attacked what she perceives as partisan accusations and concluded with the question “What about Hillary Clinton?”

On Monday, a 41-count indictment was released against 18 other defendants along with Donald Trump himself.

Trump has been charged with 13 offenses including three counts of soliciting a public official to violate an oath, two counts of planning to commit first-degree forgery, two counts of making false statements and writings, one count of violating the Georgia RICO Act etc.

The list includes people like Jenna Ellis (lawyer), Rudy Giuliani (lawyer), Sidney Powell (lawyer) etc., who are also facing charges related to election interference and frauds committed during 2020 Presidential Elections.

Donald Trump’s campaign responded angrily after the indictment was made public.

They accused DA Willis of being a “rabid partisan who is campaigning and fundraising on a platform of prosecuting President Trump through these bogus indictments.”

In response Governor Brian Kemp said that the 2020 elections were not stolen but were secure fair accessible elections which will continue so long as he remains governor.

He further added that we should focus our energies towards the 2024 Presidential Election instead of arguing over past issues.
