Vance SHUT THEM DOWN, Trump All Smiles

Ever since Roe v. Wade was overturned, Democrats have maintained that Trump would sign a federal abortion ban.

They have rallied around this since the decision was announced, but Vance just addressed it.

Vance was asked about it during a recent interview, and he shut the narrative right down.

Will He or Won’t He?

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) got everyone stirred up over this recently because he said he would continue to pursue abortion legislation in the 15-week range that would offer exceptions.

The 15- to 20-week range seems to be an area where there might be a compromise, but the GOP would have to control the White House, the House, and the Senate to get this passed.

There could be enough moderates in the Democrat Party that it just might work.

The question then becomes if Trump would sign such a ban, but Vance believes that Trump would not, even though Trump has previously mentioned support for such legislation.

When asked about Trump supporting such a ban, Vance stated, “I mean, if you’re not supporting it, as the president of the United States, you fundamentally have to veto it.”

To me, a ban means it does not happen, period. So I guess the next question would be if legislation restricts abortion time frames, is it actually a ban?

I think we know how the media would frame it, but I question if something passed with a reasonable time frame and exceptions could still be considered an outright ban.

What do you guys think?

If that legislation hits Trump’s desk, should he sign it or continue to leave the decision up to the states?
