After his indictment was announced, Trump agreed to quietly surrender to authorities.
This will take place without Trump getting cuffed and hopefully not lead to any rioting.
A Good Decision
The initial reports had Trump wanting to make a big a scene as possible during this arrest.
There was even one report that stated he was hoping to get shot to draw more empathy.
Of course, we have no way of knowing what is truth and fiction these days because nobody ever wants to go on the record.
To me, this was a great move by Trump so as not to put his supporters at risk.
We all know if there was a big scene, there would likely be violence between his supporters and detractors, which is something we do not want to see.
To be honest, I think most of us were surprised that Bragg filed the indictment in the first place.
Even anti-Trumpers can see that these charges are ridiculous.
The one word of warning I would give, however, is that this trial will be taking place in New York City with a judge that does not like Trump.
Is it even possible to find an impartial jury in this case?
I do know that if Trump does get convicted, this country better brace for the worst because I have a feeling his supporters are not going to let that go unanswered regardless of how much people beg for no violence.
