Shop NowChris Magnus is finally gone.
The controversial U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner has resigned.
Secretary Mayorkas has told Magnus to either resign or get fired earlier in the week.
Magnus has now finally caved to the pressure.
He’s Gone
Magnus never should been put in this role in the first place.
His record was a complete joke, but Joe Biden wanted a radical in that position, and he got one.
Senator Collins (R-ME) was the only Republican who voted for a man that refused to call the situation at the border a crisis.
After Magnus resigned, the White House stated, “President Biden appreciates Commissioner Magnus’ nearly forty years of service and the contributions he made to police reform during his tenure as police chief in three U.S. cities.
“The President thanks Mr. Magnus for his service at CBP and wishes him well.”
In addition to the disastrous situation at the border, there were other reports that hurt Magnus.
Recently, reports surfaced that he was falling asleep in meetings.
The culmination of all these issues led to Mayorkas issuing an ultimatum.
Initially, Magnus was not going to resign, but by the end of Saturday, he finally caved.
