Of all states to have a liberal insurrection at its Capitol.
If you can believe this, protesters stormed the Texas Capitol on Tuesday, forcing proceedings to halt.
On the agenda for the day… banning child transition surgeries.
Here They Come
The protest started in the gallery, but state police eventually ushered them all out.
However, they continued their protests in the hallways as they were being ushered out.
Some of the protesters got a little frisky, getting into physical altercations with the officers.
The Texas Tribune reported, “Several troopers physically restrained and handcuffed Adri Pérez, an organizing director with the Texas Freedom Network, in an altercation that lasted about 10 seconds.
“They face misdemeanor charges of disrupting a meeting and resisting arrest as well as an unspecified second-degree felony, according to jail records.
“Some LGBTQ advocates called the charges bogus and discriminatory.”
So, we all know this would have been blasted all over the airwaves if this had been a conservative protest, but, for the most part, it was not reported outside of local papers.
Kind of like the insurrection at the Department of Interior not long after the Capitol riot on January 6.
The difference… they were climate change protesters, so it was okay.
