Justice Neil Gorsuch, a Trump appointee, has issued a word of warning to Biden on this front.
Biden will never listen, but trust me, the reforms that Biden wants will never make it through Congress.
Biden Making Changes
Biden announced three major changes that he would like to make to the Supreme Court:
- No One is Above the Law Amendment
- Term Limits for Justices
- Binding Code of Conduct
In order for Biden to pass an amendment, he would need a supermajority in both chambers, which he is not near having right now.
There is also no way that Republicans would agree to those first two points, so this is nothing more than a political stunt by Biden.
He is likely only doing this to try to paint the right as radicals to help Harris in the election.
Justice Gorsuch even hinted at that in his warning to Biden, stating, “It’s there for the moments when the spotlight’s on you, when the government’s coming after you.
“And don’t you want a ferociously independent judge and a jury of your peers to make those decisions? Isn’t that your right as an American?
“And so I just say, be careful.”
The problem with these attacks against the court by the Democrats is that with every new attack, they delegitimize the court simply because they don’t like the current makeup.
They like rewriting the rules, as we saw with the election, removing a primary winning candidate because he was behind in polling.
We all know the real reason why Biden was pulled, but Dems will never admit that, nor does it excuse the fact Democrats are acting like dictators by hand-picking a candidate rather than allowing the American people to choose the candidate.
