When Secretary Mayorkas was on the Hill this week, the man who does nothing but utter lies finally told a truth.
Mayorkas admitted that when Title 42 ends next month, there is going to be a huge surge at the border.
Some Truth
It is not often that Mayorkas tells the truth when he is under oath, so this was quite the treat.
Mayorkas was asked the rumors of tens of thousands of migrants at the border waiting for Title 42 to end.
He confirmed, “We do anticipate a surge in the number of encounters.”
Just how much of a surge?
Well, they figure the current numbers could double, which means we could soon be seeing as many as 11,000 illegals a day come across the border.
That announcement did not sit well with Republican Senators.
After Senator Johnson (R-WI) lit up Mayorkas, Senator Roger Marshall (R-KS) took his turn.
He stated, “I stand at the ready to receive articles of impeachment from the House and conduct an impeachment trial in this body.
“But in the meantime, I think the Senate must show our colleagues in the House that we’ve had enough of the failures from the Department of Homeland Security and believe that the secretary is not fit to faithfully carry out the duties of his office.”
There is another problem… our facilities will not be able to handle this rush, which means Mayorkas will probably speed process these migrants again.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement acting Director Tae Johnson also warned, “We’re using about 73% of our capacity right now.
“On any given year, even before COVID, we can only detain about 200,000 people a year, maybe in some of the better years up to 250,000 in a given year.
“So, you do have to make tough choices on how to use your resources.”
This is going to be a complete and utter disaster.
