Report: 19 Shot and 5 Killed

The Democrat run city of Chicago, Illinois is a perfect example of what happens when liberal policies are allowed to run rampant. Black-on-Black violence claimed the lives of five people in a single day Tuesday. Nineteen others were shot, including a toddler, who was struck in the head and now in grave condition.

Nineteen shot on Tuesday

The basic stats for Tuesday tallied 19 shot, 5 dead. It was just another day in the anarchy zone called Chicago, Illinois, where Black Lives Matter loving gangsters will snatch the Black life from one of their brothers at the drop of a Nike. Local news reports have reduced the day’s events to a ballgame scorecard.

The day’s top score goes to “an apparent road rage shooting on Lake Shore Drive.” That’s the one where 21-month-old Kayden Swann was shot in the head by a stray bullet. A Good Samaritan “driving by in a Tesla was the only vehicle to stop. He picked up the mother and toddler and drove them to the hospital.”

The family is glued to the boy’s bedside at Lurie Children’s Hospital, where he is listed in “very critical condition.” According to Area Three detectives, they’re questioning “a person” in connection with the crime.

Working backwards through the police blotter once the last of the day’s reports were in, Tuesday ended with an incident in Chatham where “two men who were shot, one fatally.” The 38 and 33-year-old men were peacefully minding their own business at 11:55 p.m. “standing on the sidewalk in the 7900 block of South Eberhart Avenue, when someone approached” and started blasting.

That ruined the day for the older man who “was struck in the right leg and brought to Jackson Park Hospital.” It ended the life of the younger one. He “was struck in the back and brought to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.”

Standing in his yard

Around 9:10 p.m. in the West Side Lawndale neighborhood, A 16-year-old boy was standing in the front yard of a home “when someone in a vehicle fired shots.” Police came to pick him up. “He suffered gunshot wounds to the head and arms and was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.”

Another “16-year-old boy was killed and a man was wounded in a shooting in South Shore.” That was another drive by about 2:10 p.m. “The boy was struck in the back and head. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. A 25-year-old man was shot in the arm but refused medical attention.”

Alcohol was a factor Tuesday morning in Austin. That’s where “two men, 39 and 38, were drinking in a basement apartment.” About 3:30 a.m., shots were fired. The 39-year-old was shot in the head and chest, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other was placed into custody and a weapon was recovered.

In Roseland, a 24-year-old was standing on the sidewalk about 1:15 a.m. and killed when someone fired shots at him. Richard Cade was struck in the back and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

All of the other shootings happened under similar circumstances but the injuries weren’t severe enough to get special stats on the daily shot scorecard. One thing that they have in common is that the streets of Chicago are a deadly place to go for a pizza.

The favorite form of recreation seems to be sniping at anyone out in the open from moving vehicles just for a little target practice. Meanwhile, since the police have been defunded, all they can do is call the social workers to get the crying women off their backs when they tell them that their son is in the morgue.
