At the start of the year, news outlets had reported on the Biden administration funding a drug prevention initiative, which included the distribution of crack pipes.
And despite evidence supporting it, the Biden administration continues to deny it.
Well now recent controversial news has broke that a clinic in New York City right across the street from a pre-school is handing out drug paraphernalia.
The New York Harm Reduction Educators (NYHRE) clinic is located at Park and 126th in East Harlem and recently received over $400,000 in grants from the Biden administration to offer services to drug addicts in the area. This includes providing a safe site for injections and clean equipment to do so.
To confirm their evidence, the Daily Caller sent two of their reporters to the clinic and both were handed “a crack pipe, condoms, and lubricant” only after completing a small amount of paperwork.

During their visit, the second reporter witnessed “individuals smoking and injecting various substances” in the back rooms of the clinic. However, use of the drug paraphernalia outside was not allowed due to the clinic being located right across the street from the Echo Park Children and Family Center.
InsideSchools shared that the center “provides preschool for 3 and 4-year-olds,” including “outdoor space for children to play and get fresh air.”
The clinic was given the green light for the use of drugs on site by former NYC mayor Bill de Blasio back in December 2021, prior to which the clinic only served as a safe needle exchange.
The New York Post has reported that many local parents have expressed outrage in light of this news:
“Whatever you are going to do, you don’t put this kind of a center directly across the street from a preschool,” said one parent. “That makes no sense.”
“It may be helping them not to overdose but when they come out high, we have to deal with them, and it’s not something I want to subject my 3-year-old to,” another added.
The Gateway Pundit noted:
In February, the Biden administration denied it was giving grants to fund the distribution of crack pipes, following a Washington Free Beacon report that exposed the practice.
“No federal funding will be used directly or through subsequent reimbursement of grantees to put pipes in safe smoking kits,” HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra said in a statement.
Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki condemned the Free Beacon’s “inaccurate reporting” in February and again denied that the administration was distributing crack pipes.
Fact-checking services flagged the Free Beacon article as partially misleading, relying primarily on flat denials from Biden officials.
