This week, it happened due to a little road trip by House Speaker McCarthy (R-CA) to the border.
The White House went ballistic, calling it a political stunt, but that was hardly the case.
Time to See It
McCarthy took some of our freshman lawmakers from around the country to the border so they could see this firsthand.
Since they will be making laws on this, they should see it firsthand.
Unlike Joe Biden, who took more than 40 years to get to the border, they made it there in two months.
Also unlike Biden’s visit, they actually saw the trouble spots, whereas Biden had a sanitized visit to look good for the cameras.
Biden’s visit WAS a photo-op, yet it was McCarthy’s trip that caused the meltdown.
Ian Sams, a White House spokesperson, stated, “House Republicans should spend less time on partisan publicity stunts and more time working on solutions.
“Solutions are what President Biden is focused on, and his plan is working.
“House Republicans would be wise to join him to work together to strengthen our immigration system and fund border security.”
Joe Biden’s plan is working if you want to increase immigration by 300 percent, most of that coming from illegal encounters.
I think the GOP can come up with something a little better than that!
