ICYMI – The Republican Rep. from Georgia, Marjorie Taylor Greene, said that she was “attacked” by an “insane woman” at a restaurant. She was also yelled at by the woman’s son over her political stances.
The congresswoman said that the incident was sparked by a difference of political opinions. She made it clear in her explanation that the mother-son duo had “no respect” for opposing viewpoints.

Marjorie’s tweet reads, “I was attacked in a restaurant tonight by an insane woman and screamed at by her adult son. They had no respect for the restaurant or the staff or the other people dining or people like me who simply have different political views.”
“They are self-righteous, insane, and completely out of control,” she added before continuing, “I was sitting at my table, working with my staff, and never even noticed these people until they turned into demons.”
“People used to respect others even if they had different views,” the congresswoman said. “But not anymore.”
“Our country is gone,” she concluded.

Nick Dyer, Greene’s spokesman told the outlet, FOX News Digital, that the congresswoman and her staffers were working on preparations for committee hearings when the woman approached their table. Dyer explained that the woman originally approached and politely introduced herself before berating the congresswoman.
“At that point, her 20-year-old son started screaming expletives at the top of his lungs and came closer,” Dyer said. “I had to get in between him and the table because I had no clue what he’d do. More and more screaming by him while his mother continued to berate Marjorie.”

The restaurant’s staff eventually arrived at the table and demanded the woman and her son leave the establishment. The staff apologized and moved Greene and her team to a more private table. Law enforcement was not contacted in response to the altercation.
The Outspoken Republican has been subject to threats a majority of her time in public office.
