As I am sure most of you know, Donald Trump and Joe Biden are about to square off in a debate soon.
During that debate, there is a gag order in place that will prevent Trump from commenting on the hush-money case.
If Special Counsel Jack Smith has his way, that will also be the case for Trump commenting on all things FBI.
Here We Go
Smith has filed a motion arguing that Trump needs to be blocked from making “statements that pose a significant, imminent, and foreseeable danger to law enforcement agents.”
He also added that Trump’s “deceptive and inflammatory assertions irresponsibly put a target on the backs of the FBI agents.”
Trump attorneys have countered that this is a “shocking display of overreach and disregard for the Constitution” that is “tailor-made to broadly chill protected speech.”
Trump then sent out a campaign fundraising email saying that this was a “naked effort to impose totalitarian censorship of core political speech, under threat of incarceration, in a clear attempt to silence”
This is a problem folks, and the only hope here is that Judge Cannon, who was appointed by Trump, will deny the motion.
If she allows the expanded gag order, Trump is going to get crushed in that debate on the indictment front because he will not be able to respond to anything without risking being hauled off to jail.
This was the Democrat plan all along, and now they have Trump right where they want him.
Dems, Biden, and the media can all attack Trump as much as they want, and Trump is powerless to stop them.
This is a complete and utter disaster, so keep your fingers crossed that Trump wins this motion as well as having the other gag order removed via the Supreme Court.
